Core Values
ABOUT DIRECTOD

Core values that guide how we build and who we build for.

DirectOD helps independent practices grow recurring revenue without sacrificing ownership or control. These values guide every product decision, support interaction, and long-term partnership.

CORE VALUES
Independent first
We build for practice autonomy. The practice controls pricing, plan terms, and the patient relationship without third-party permission.
Enrollment, billing, and plan logic stay in-house. We avoid features that increase dependency or weaken ownership.
Clarity
If staff cannot explain it in one minute, it is too complicated. Plans, benefits, and billing should be obvious at a glance.
Plain language replaces fine print. Interfaces favor understanding over configuration for configuration’s sake.
Integrity
We build for the long term. No hidden levers, no bait-and-switch pricing, no terms we would not stand behind publicly.
Pricing, plan logic, and policies remain consistent and documented so practices can operate with confidence.
Responsiveness
When something affects revenue or patient experience, it is urgent. We respond quickly and solve root problems.
Issues are treated as operational blockers, not tickets. Systems surface exceptions early so teams can act.
Craft
Memberships are a system, not a discount. We reduce friction and design experiences that feel professional.
We favor consistency over novelty and invest in onboarding, templates, and real-world workflows.
Free-market focus
Vision plans distort pricing and suppress innovation. We help practices rebuild direct relationships with patients.
Memberships replace discount dependency with predictable revenue and patient choice based on value, not coercion.
